Founding Strategy & Institutional Overview

PPF’s founding strategy: our mandate, vision and mission, the Eight Pillars framework, and the Learn–Grow–Impact operational model.

1 July 2026 · Positive Peace Foundation

The Positive Peace Foundation (PPF) is an independent, action-driven Lebanese civil society organization established to transform how conflict, governance and social development are addressed across Lebanon.

This founding document sets out:

  • Our institutional mandate. We shift the paradigm from crisis response and negative peace to building positive peace: the systemic attitudes, institutions and structures that create and sustain peaceful, resilient and thriving societies.
  • Our vision and mission.
  • Our foundational framework. The Eight Pillars of Positive Peace, used as a holistic lens for understanding Lebanon’s structural challenges, designing multi-sector interventions and measuring real-world impact.
  • Our operational model. Three interconnected divisions: the PPF Training Hub (Learn), the PPF Policy Lab (Grow) and PPF Field Action (Impact).
  • Our institutional commitment to operational transparency, complete political independence, financial accountability and data-driven impact tracking.
